Sorry for the hiatus! I will be uploading my vlog video of when I was in Zimbabwe working on my organisation etc. But I’m back now so expect more videos!
This is an easy concoction. I put percentages instead of the measurements because it makes it easier when you are trying to make more butter than I did or you want to make less.
Here is the formula you can use:
I wanted to make 300g of butter so I needed 70% of shea butter:
70/100*300 = the grams you need for the shea butter.
Use this formula for the other 2 ingredients.
You have to use the same weight units for all your ingredients. Alternatively you can melt the shea and the coconut and measure it in ‘ml’ instead of ‘grams’. If the end product is too hard, decrease the shea and increase the coconut oil or the avocado oil
That would’ve taken much longer because you would need to wait for it to solidify before you could whip it.
Make sure you have sterilised the utensils before use and don’t use what you use for food to avoid cross contamination. Also make sure you do not allow any water to come into contact with your product because you don’t want it to go rancid or mouldy.
